ACUs can have different designs depending on their purpose, specifics of the technology process for which they are used, as well as properties of operating fluid, its velocity and time spent inside the vessel, operating pressure, and requirements to operating temperature and possibility of its regulation. Air coolers can be used both as part of process equipment group and as separate units. At Client’s request, sections (pipe bundles) can be supplied as separate assemblies of the air cooling unit. ACUs can be operated in any climatic zones at air temperatures from +35 to -60°C and humidity up to 100%.

Technical characteristics required for ACU selection:

• nominal pressure;
• design temperature;
• material;
• climatic type;
• pipe length;
• quantity of pipe rows;
• quantity of pipe runs;
• quantity of fans, etc.

Scope of Equipment

• heat exchange unit;
• air supply system;
• supporting steel structures;
• louvres (optional);
• air recirculation system (optional);
• air humidifier/heater (option);
• service platforms (optional);
• product headers (optional).

ACUs can be additionally equipped with:

• Device for cleaning both the outer and inner surfaces of heat exchanger tubes;
• Automatic Control System (ACU ACS);
• Internal and external recirculation system;
• Product inlet/outlet headers;
• Air heater;
• Air humidifier;
• Foundation bolts;
• trolley for rolling out electric motor;
• tool kit etc.

At Client’s request, existing ACU designs can be optimized in order to increase their efficiency, as well as individual ACU sections or tube bundles can be supplied.

TECHNOTECS received an approval of production site No. INTI.QS.PS.40-03-2023-1 for manufacturing of products presented under name “Air Cooling Units” included in INTI classifier (INSTITUTE OF OIL AND GAS TECHNOLOGICAL INITIATIVES) under code 2.1 - Air Cooling Units.
