These units do not require development of expensive designs and receiving construction permits.

Typical MOTU block is installed on load bearing skid with a frame for fixing process pipelines, equipment, cable racks and service platforms. A sled with drawbar is provided under the frame for moving the units by different types of transport. The blocks are placed in one tier on the slabs. It is also possible to have these blocks made on chassis. Closed block-boxes consist of base, frame made of steel profile, closed from the outside with three-layer sandwich panels with mineral wool insulation.

MOTU can be equipped with automated equipment and process control systems that allow the unit to be operated without constant presence of service personnel. Units can be transported by rail, road or water transport.

MOTU consists of the following main units:

• Inlet manifold assembly URD-1;
• Gas separator GS-1;
• Oil and gas separators of inlet separation stage NGS-1,2;
• Oil and gas separators with deep dehydration water discharge NGSV-1,2 (complete with produced water metering station);
• Oil emulsion heating unit P-1, P-2;
• Pumps for oil pumping N-1, N-2;
• Flare unit (horizontal flare unit for disposal of produced water and associated petroleum gas (GFU);
• Fuel gas treatment and distribution unit complete with gas metering station;
• Automatic tank truck filling unit (for simultaneous loading of four tank trucks);
• Oil quality control and metering unit at MOTU outlet (Crude quality control system);
• Underground vessel unit with pump for collecting drainage from drain drums complex ED-1;
• Underground vessel unit with pump for collecting heat transfer agent for oil heater;
• Nitrogen cylinder ramp cabinet;
• Vent stack;
• Control room with operator's workstation.
